Eritrea has one of the world’s richest cultures, but recurrent war, drought and famine has caused it to be one of the world’s poorest countries. Poverty in Eritrea is widespread and impacts more than 66% of the population. This unporportionately impacts orphans, widows and the disabled.
The vision of Eritrea Donations is to put much-needed supplies in the hands of those who need it the most and those who are most vulnerable to poverty. We believe that there is no time to waste to help those in need in a country that is one of the poorest nations in the world.
100% of the donations go to supplying much needed food baskets with flour, grains, sugar and oil. The video and pictures on this site show actual food basket drops. You can see exactly who you are helping.
Rural Eritrean Life
In Eritrea, 60% of the population relies on agricultural activities for their food and income. This causes economic insecurity for those in rural areas. Almost 2/3 of all rural homes lack food security. In rural Eritrea, you can see people struggle in the face of poverty. Though people may not have even the most basic of supplies, families are still friendly and very welcoming.
Those Who Need it Most
